Our Story

Seafair Animal Clinic was established in 1983 in the Seafair Shopping Centre in Richmond, where it quickly earned a reputation for providing compassionate, high-quality veterinary care. Over the years, the clinic has continued to grow and evolve, always guided by a deep commitment to the well-being of pets and the trust of their families for generations.

As the community expanded, so did the need for more accessible care. To better serve patients and their owners, Ironwood Animal Hospital opened in the summer of 2016, extending services to South East Richmond and the Delta/Ladner area.

Today, under the ownership of Dr. Liza Lackner, both Seafair and Ironwood operate as fully equipped veterinary hospitals, seamlessly integrated to ensure consistent, comprehensive care. Together, they provide service seven days a week — Today, Seafair Animal Clinic is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Ironwood Animal Hospital serves clients Monday and Friday from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday and Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and on weekends from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Over the decades, we’ve had the joy of seeing generations of pets grow and thrive, forming lasting relationships with families who feel like part of ours. Many of our clients have been with us through multiple generations of beloved companions, and it’s these enduring connections that inspire everything we do.

We have a talented team at ecah clinc ready to serve your needs and work closely with other veterinary specialists that offer specialty surgeries including orthopedic, imaging diagnostics and ultrasound.

For our long-time clients, we look forward to continuing to care for you and your furry family members for years to come. And if you’re new to us, we warmly invite you to stop by, say hello, and become part of our Seafair and Ironwood family.

Angel Fund

Occasionally, some pets are brought to us needing care that their families simply don’t have the means to provide. Our Angel Fund has been established to provide this type of support when needed. We will be hosting events throughout the course of the year to help provide the funds for these patients, but we would be happy to accept support from the public. Please don’t hesitate to ask how you can help.
